A teenage boy has been charged after an alleged assault in Johnstone at the weekend.
Around 7.15pm on Friday a person was seriously assaulted at Johnstone Railway Station and suffered a head injuries.
The victim is currently in a stable condition in hospital.
A 16-year-old boy has been charged following the incident.
In a statement the British Transport Police said: "We have charged a 16-year-old boy following an assault at Johnstone Railway Station on Friday 26 February at around 7.15pm.
"The victim has been treated for significant head injuries and is currently in a stable condition in hospital."
