Teenager charged after police discover knife on the Fallowfield Loop

A teenager has been charged after police discovered a knife on the Fallowfield Loop.

George Larder, 18, of Delamere Avenue, Sale, has been charged with the offence of possession of a bladed article in a public place.

He is due to appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates' Court on Thursday, February 20 this year.

Plain clothed Transport Unit officers followed a man on the cycling route near to St Werburgh's Road Metrolink stop, in Chorlton, on Tuesday night.

The man was discovered to be carrying a knife and was arrested by police.
