A teenager was subjected to a foul-mouthed late-night rant - by an "insecure" woman jealous that her boyfriend had been liking her Instagram photos.
Shannon Mitchell woke up in the early hours of Thursday to a message from an unknown woman asking if she knew her boyfriend.
Despite the performing arts student not knowing the man, the girlfriend launched into an expletive-laden rant telling her to "get her own" boyfriend.
The unnamed woman branded 16-year-old Shannon a whore for wearing "make-up and skirts" in her social media photos that tempted the woman's partner into liking her photos.
Defending herself, Shannon explained she did not know the man and that the woman was "clearly insecure".

However the girlfriend confessed that even her partner "calls her insecure" and took this as evidence that Shannon had been speaking to him as she must have "got that from him".
Just when Shannon thought the argument was over, the woman asked if the teenager thought she should break up with him.
When Shannon told her to do whatever she thought was right, the woman declared that this was all "reverse psychology" by Shannon because she "wants" her man.
Shannon, from New Moston, Greater Manchester, said: "I have no idea who this girl is or who her boyfriend is. It was ridiculous.
"At first I was a bit offended because when she asked me who he was and I said I didn't know, she accused me of lying.
"But then I started laughing because I thought it was quite funny.
"I think she'd been going through his Instagram while he was asleep next to her.
"He was probably peacefully asleep while she was ranting at me.
"I've not heard from her since - she's now on my block list."

Levelheaded Shannon now hopes the girl will show some "girl power" and stop blaming "innocent" women for her boyfriend's wandering eye.
Attempting to diffuse the situation and help the woman despite her barrage of abuse, Shannon wrote "don't stoop to his level and embarrass yourself by behaving like that, if you don't trust him then end it".
But after a brief change of heart asking a stranger whether to end the relationship, the now-blocked user replies "f***ing new u wanted him you whore reverse sicology gettin in my head ur not havin him" [sic].
Shannon said: "I've had other girls do this too, but nine times out of 10 I'm innocent.
"It's never been this extreme but I've had loads of messages over the years asking 'why's my boyfriend liking your pictures'.
"I screenshot these messages during the night and realised properly what she was talking about in the morning. I couldn't believe it.

"I felt a little bit sorry for her. I usually wouldn't take grief like that, but I feel like when you're in a toxic relationship it's very easy to be controlled.
"She mustn't have support because if that was my friend I wouldn't let them embarrass themselves like that.
"Or if it was my daughter and I saw she was that irrational, I wouldn't let her be in a relationship.
"It's like she's in denial and wants someone to blame.
"I said she should ask her boyfriend why he liked me pictures, then she said 'why would I ask him?' I just thought 'wow...'
"I'd say to her 'pick your battles. Don't go around causing issues for yourself for someone who isn't even loyal to you'."
