Teenager arrested over alleged attempted murder in Linwood car park

A teenager has been arrested following an alleged attempted murder of a man in Linwood.

A 35-year-old man was left with serious injuries after being targeted in a car park on Blackwood Avenue at 3.20pm on Friday.

He was rushed to the Royal Alexandra Hospital where he underwent surgery.

He remains in serious condition.

Detective Sergeant Chris Hughes, of Paisley CID, yesterday said that a 17-year-old man had been arrested in connection with the incident.

“We are treating this incident as an attempted murder,” he said.

“One person has been arrested and we are following further positive lines of enquiry.

“However we would appeal to anyone who may have been in the area at the time and witnessed the attack to come forward.”

People with information can contact police on 101.
