Teenager arrested and charged over assault of man and woman in Glasgow's Blairdardie Road

A teenage boy has been arrested in connection with the assault of a man and woman in Blairdardie.

The 30-year-old man and 26-year-old woman suffered serious injuries after being attacked on a grassy area near the canal path at Blairdardie Road at around 5:10pm on Saturday April 17.

The 17-year-old male has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident, Police Scotland confirmed.

He was released on an undertaking to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court at a later date.

A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
