A teenager has been arrested after two pupils were stabbed at a school in south London, police have said.
The victims, both 15, have been taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. One teenager is in critical condition, while the other is stable, according to Scotland Yard.
Police said officers and paramedics were called just after 3.30pm on Thursday following reports of a stabbing at Kingsdale school in Alleyn Park, West Dulwich.
The teenager arrested in connection with the stabbing has been taken to a police station in south London.
Current and former pupils expressed their shock on Twitter following the incident.
Kitty Amor wrote: “What in the world happened at Kingsdale school today? I see nuff police arrest one boy and a helicopter in their playground.”
Police said the investigation is ongoing.
