A teenager has been arrested after a horrifying attack was launched on a delivery driver.
The vile assault took place on March 6 outside of a McDonald's joint.
Footage taken at the scene showcased a group of up to 15 teenagers kicking and punching a delivery driver to the ground in St Helens while police state that they hurled racist abuse towards the man, Liverpool Echo writes.
Merseyside Police has since confirmed a young boy, 15, has been arrested on suspicion of affray.
The arrest is part of a wider crackdown by police on anti-social behaviour in the area as some people have reported avoiding the town centre altogether due to fear.
This has seen increased visible police patrols around the town centre.
