Teenager and woman seriously injured in hit-and-run motorbike crash

Police are appealing for information after two people were seriously injured in a hit-and-run involving a motorbike and a bike. A 17-year-old boy and 48-year-old woman are being treated for their injuries after being hit by a motorbike in Tredegar.

The dark motorbike with yellow and orange details left the scene and officers are now trying to trace the rider.

They want to speak to any motorists who were travelling on the road between Tredegar and Abertysswg, between 3pm and 4pm on Thursday (May 25), or anyone with dashcam or CCTV footage.

The crash happened around 3.45pm on Thursday, with police and a Welsh Ambulance Service crew attending.

A spokesman for Gwent Police said: "We’re asking for anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or any motorists with dashcam footage, that were using the road between Tredegar and Abertysswg, between 3pm and 4pm to contact us.

"You can call us on 101 or send us a direct message on Facebook or Twitter."

Anyone with information should quote log reference 2300170711 with any details. Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
