A teenager has admitted carrying a 'large combat knife' in Manchester city centre.

Officers were called to reports of a man carrying knife outside Burger King, in Piccadilly Gardens at around 1.45pm on Wednesday, January 8.

The men were traced to Portland Street, at the junction of Chorlton Street, and were searched by officers.

Footage emerged of officers pinning five men onto the ground with their hands cuffed behind their backs.

One man can then be seen being searched by one officer, who is later seen holding a huge hunting knife.

Shaquille Powell Anderson, of Hastings Road, Birmingham, was subsequently charged with possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.
