Teenager, 18, dies after falling from Cheshire bridge

An 18-year-old man has died after falling from a bridge in Runcorn, Cheshire.

Police were called to reports of an incident on the Queensway Flyover at around 4.55am on Sunday, August 15.

Officers attending the scene found the teenager, who had fallen from a bridge, reports CheshireLive.

He was treated at the scene by paramedics before being rushed to Aintree Hospital.

However, the teenager died shortly after, despite the best efforts of those involved.

His next of kin have been informed.

Detective Inspector Alison White, from Cheshire Police, said: “Enquiries in relation to the incident are ongoing and we’re keen to hear from anyone who may have walked passed or driven passed the area at the time of the incident.

“The same goes for anyone with any CCTV or dashcam footage which may aid our enquiries.

“At this stage, the death is not believed to be suspicious and a case file will be prepared for the coroner.”
