A boy, 17, was robbed at knifepoint while walking home from school.
Officers received reports of an armed robbery at 10.45am on Monday, February 28, along the footpath adjacent to the B4595, which joins Powerstation Hill, Tonteg, and University of South Wales.
The teenager was walking home from school towards the university when two males, one armed with a "carving knife", approached him and demanded money.

The knife was described by a force spokesperson as a "carving knife with a smooth blade around 20cm in length".
Officers said the incident happened near the picnic benches and memorial figures along the path.
South Wales Police released a description of the suspects along with an appeal for any witnesses or people with information to come forward.
A spokesperson said: "Both suspects are described as slim black males, in their early twenties, and approx. 6ft in height.
"They were wearing snoods over their faces, black baseball hats on their heads, hoods pulled over the hats and black tracksuit bottoms.
"The only distinguishing difference between both males is the one who had the knife was wearing a Nike, zip up black jacket and the other male was wearing a black puffer style coat."
The force added: "Extensive CCTV checks have been done in the surrounding areas and we are continuing to identify those responsible. Anyone with information is asked to contact us quoting 2200068036."
