Teenage stars of the future asked to record 'tunes from their gaff'

If you have the next Gavin James or Lisa Hannigan at home, then here is an amazing opportunity to help them get their career on the right track and win €100 worth of music gear.

‘Tunes From Me Gaff’ is a competition run by Youth Work Ireland’s Irish Youth Music Awards (IYMAs) as part of the Dublin City Arts Office’s Cruinniú na nÓg programme of events for Creative Ireland on June 13th.

Teenage stars of the future are being asked to film themselves performing an original song in their own home, and send it in to the competition.

A total of 10 winnings songs will be shared – and the artists tagged – on Dublin City Councils Arts Office’s social media channels on June 13th, and the acts will each win a €100 voucher for that all-important musical equipment.

The competition is open to musicians aged between 12 and 18 and based in the Dublin City Council catchment areas, and the song must be an original composition – no covers allowed. The deadline is 6pm on Wednesday 10th June.

Click here for more information and to enter the competition – once you fill in the form you will be told how to submit your video.
