Police are appealing for information after two teenagers were assaulted in a Wishaw park.
An 18-year-old man was walking through Belhaven Park with his sister, aged 16, at around 7.30pm on Friday, when they were targeted by a group of youths.
The man was punched and kicked, while the girl was assaulted as she tried to leave the park.
Fortunately, neither required hospital treatment but both were left shaken by the incident.
A Police Scotland spokesperson told Lanarkshire Live: “We are looking for anyone who may have been in and around the park at that time.
“Officers are following a positive line of enquiry but we are keen to speak to anyone who may have information to come forward.”
Anyone with information on this incident should contact police on 101 or alternatively contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
