Paramount has officially unveiled Paramount Games Studio, a new unified gaming division bringing together the company’s game development efforts, and it is kicking things off with a major reveal: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin is a AAA action-adventure game from PlatinumGames, announced during Summer Game Fest 2026. Based on the acclaimed comic series of the same name, the game follows the last surviving Ninja Turtle on a relentless quest for vengeance in a dark, dystopian future. It is currently in development for consoles and PC.
The reveal served as the centerpiece of Paramount’s broader gaming ambitions. The newly formed Paramount Games Studio combines the company’s gaming teams under a single banner, including studios from Paramount and Skydance. The division says it aims to transform the company’s entertainment franchises into larger interactive experiences built around storytelling, immersive gameplay, and long-term fan engagement.
Leading the studio is industry veteran Tony Driscoll, who previously held leadership roles at Epic Games and Warner Bros. In announcing the new division, Driscoll emphasized that gaming will play a larger role in Paramount’s future strategy.
“This division launch marks a meaningful evolution in how we think about games, not as an extension of our business, but as a core pillar of our content strategy alongside film, television, and streaming,” Driscoll said. “We are committed to creating exceptional games for every type of player, from casual to AAA, and building enduring experiences across our beloved Paramount IP and original worlds that deepen fan engagement and drive long-term growth.”
Alongside the game’s reveal, Paramount also launched a limited-edition BossLogic merchandise collection featuring The Last Ronin-themed apparel and collectible poster art through the game’s official website.
Fans can also access a 10-page preview on the game’s website to read The Last Ronin: Training Day, an upcoming comic one-shot written by Kevin Eastman and Tom Waltz with artwork by the Escorza Brothers and Ben Bishop. It is set between issues #3 and #4 of the original comic series. The story follows Michelangelo as he trains Casey Marie Jones, the daughter of April O’Neil and Casey Jones. The comic arrives in stores on July 9, 2026.
While Paramount Games Studio’s future lineup remains under wraps, the company has made its ambitions clear. With Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin leading the charge, Paramount is positioning games as a major pillar of its entertainment business going forward.
