'Teenage girls today can be leaders tomorrow': The conference that will inspire girls to aim high and think big

Freya Lewis was just three metres away from the blast that ripped through Manchester Arena on May 22, 2017.

She suffered multiple fractures and spent five weeks at the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital.

Her best friend, Nell Jones, 14, was one of the 22 people killed in the attack.

Freya, who had to learn to walk again, has since raised £40,000 for the hospital that saved her life.

She will now share her inspiring story to an audience of 100 young girls at an interactive conference.

The 'Rocking Ur Teens' event is designed to raise girls' aspirations and confidence.

Freya said: "I hope that hearing my story will inspire other teenagers.

"I, for some reason that I can’t explain, take comfort in sharing my story with people.

"I feel a sense of pride explaining to people that I managed to find light in the most unimaginably dark situation."
