Two teenage girls were attacked at New Brighton station on Easter Sunday.

British Transport Police were called to the railway station at around 6.40pm on April 17 following reports of the assault. Officers searched the area but the suspects had left the scene.

A family member said on Facebook that his 17-year-old granddaughter needed hospital treatment following the 'unprovoked' attack as he appealed for information. Police said enquiries into the incident remain ongoing.
