Witnesses are being sought after a teenage girl was sexually assaulted on a train travelling from Balloch to Airdrie on Saturday afternoon.

She was travelling on the 4.38pm eastbound service when she was approached by a man, who sexually assaulted her and made inappropriate remarks towards her.

The man got off the train at Charing Cross station in Glasgow at 5.30pm with a group of other men.

He is described as white, in his 60s, around 5ft 7in tall and of large build, with grey curly hair.

The man was wearing a psychedelic print T-shirt with dark shorts, and was wearing round sunglasses and displaying tattoos with writing and stars.
