A teenage girl was reportedly the victim of a 'sexual offence' near Glasgow last night.
Cops raced to a field off Glen Doll Road in Neilston, East Renfrewshire, after the alarm was raised at around 9pm on Wednesday, June 16.
Local reports suggest there was a heavy police presence in the area following the incident.
Officers say enquiries are at an early stage and are ongoing.
They've asked anyone with information to come forward.
Detective Inspector Peter Crombie said: "Officers are investigating a report that a teenage girl was the victim of a sexual offence on land off Glen Doll Road in the Neilston area.
"The incident was reported around 9pm on Wednesday, 16 June.
"Enquiries are at an early stage and ongoing.
"Anyone who may have information can call 101, quoting incident 3393 of June 16."
