Teenage girl rushed to hospital with serious injuries after being knocked down on Scots road

A teenage girl has been rushed to hospital after being knocked down on a Scots road.

Emergency services scrambled to West Port in Dundee after the horror accident happened at around 11.15pm on Saturday, June 26.

Ambulance crews attended and the 17-year-old girl was taken to Ninewells Hospital with serious, but not life-threatening injuries.

Police say their enquiries into the crash are ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We received a report that a 17-year-old girl had been struck by a vehicle on West Port, Dundee, around 11.15pm on Saturday, 26 June.

"Emergency services attended and the woman was taken to Ninewells Hospital with serious, but not life-threatening injuries.

"Enquiries into the crash are ongoing."
