Teenage girl rushed to hospital after being hit by car in Co Carlow

A teenage girl was rushed to hospital after being hit by a car in Co Carlow.

The incident happened on the Burrin Road in Carlow town at around 4pm on Christmas Eve.

She was treated for her injuries at the scene and brought to St. Luke's General Hospital in Kilkenny.

A garda spokesman said: "Gardaí attended a single vehicle rtc involving a car and a pedestrian that occurred on the Burrin Road, Carlow, at approximately 4pm yesterday afternoon, Thursday 24th December 2020.

"A female in her teens (pedestrian) was treated at the scene by paramedics."
