A teenage girl has died after a car hit a brick wall at high speed in Greater Manchester, police confirmed.
Police attending the crash on Manchester Road, near the junction with Stamford Brook Road in Altrincham, just before 11am on Saturday found a 45-year-old man and an 11-year-old girl in the black Toyota Auris. Both were taken to hospital with unknown injuries. A second girl, believed to be in her early teens, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said on Saturday afternoon an initial report that two boys had fled the scene before officers arrived was based on incorrect information and they were not searching for any other passengers.
It is not known whether the occupants of the car were related.

We are also appealing for anyone who saw the collision to get in touch with police so we can find out what caused this tragedy.”
