A teenage girl was killed when a car crashed into a wall in Co Galway in the early hours of this morning.
The horror collision happened at around 1.15am in the townland of Porridgetown in Oughterard.
A young woman, who is in her teens, was a passenger in the car when it struck a wall. She died at the scene.
Her body has since been removed to the mortuary in University Hospital Galway, where a post mortem will take place.
The driver of the car, a 21-year-old man, was uninjured in the crash.
A garda spokeswoman said: "Gardaí are appealing to any road users who may have travelled the road and can assist them or drivers who may have dash cam to contact them in Salthill Garda Station on 091 - 514720, the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda station."
