Teenage girl hit by car in Stockport - police want to speak to witnesses

A teenage girl was taken to hospital after being hit by a car in Stockport.

Police were called to reports of a Seat Ibiza hitting a pedestrian on Bramhall Lane at around 4.05pm on Saturday (August 5).

The pedestrian – a 15-year-old girl – was taken to hospital, police have confirmed.

She is now recovering at home, Greater Manchester Police said.

The driver remained at the scene to speak with officers.

No arrests were made.

Police say enquiries are ongoing.

The road was closed in both directions between Cale Green and Kennerley Road following the incident.

An air ambulance was called to the scene.
