Teenage girl hit by car in Oldham

A teenage girl was hit by a car in Oldham.

Emergency services were called to reports of a collision on Manor Road, in the Alt area, just after 8.15am on Friday (March 13).

Paramedics treated a 16-year-old girl.

A section of Abbey Hills Road, at the junction with Manor Road, is shut while emergency services remain at the scene.

Drivers are being warned of delays in the area.

A spokeswoman for the North West Ambulance Service said: "We are on the scene with a rapid response vehicle.

"We were called at 8.18am. We are treating a female patient.

"She is approximately 16-years-old."

A spokeswoman for Greater Manchester Police said: "At 8.25am today, police were called to reports of a collision on Abbey Hills Road, Oldham.

"Officers attended and established a vehicle had collided with a pedestrian.

"The pedestrian was taken to hospital.

"The driver of the vehicle stopped at the scene. The road was blocked for a short period of time."
