Teenage girl found dead inside Premier Inn in Manchester city centre

The body of a young woman has been found at a Premier Inn in Manchester city centre.

Police were called to the Premier Inn at Manchester Central on Lower Mosley Street at around 8.10am on Sunday (August 18) morning.

There, officers found the body of a young woman - thought to be in her late teens.

Police say her death is not being treated as suspicious.

One guest told the Manchester Evening News she saw an ambulance, police and crime scene investigators inside the hotel on Sunday morning.

The city-centre hotel is just a short distance from St Peter's Square and is situated opposite the Manchester Central Convention Complex.

A spokesperson for GMP said: "Police were called to Premier Inn on Lower Mosley Street at around 8.10pm on Sunday 18 August 2019 to reports that the body of a woman had been found.

"On arrival, officers found the body of what is believed to be a woman in her late teens.

"It’s not thought there are any suspicious circumstances surrounding her death."

Premier Inn have been approached for comment.
