Police have launched an appeal after a teenage girl was assaulted in the Highlands.
The 14-year-old was approached my two unknown older women and another teenage girl in an alleyway in the Alness area.
The incident occurred yesterday, June 28, around 8.45pm between Fleming Way and Ness Gardens.
The girl was taken to Raigmore Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Police have no launched a search for those responsible.
The first of the two older women is described as being around 60-years-olds, of a slim build with grey hair.
The second is described as being around 40-years-old, of a heavy build with brown medium length hair.
Inspector Joanne Thomson of Alness police office said: “This was a frightening experience for the girl involved who, thankfully, did not suffer serious injuries.
“Enquires to establish the circumstances of this incident are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who may have been in the area and may have seen anything to get in touch.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting incident 3570 of 28 June, or alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
