Teenage girl arrested in London on suspicion of aiding terrorist plot

A 14-year-old girl has been arrested in south London on suspicion of assisting a person to carry out an act of terrorism, Scotland Yard said.

They added that she had been taken to a station for questioning.

The teenager was detained under the Police and Criminal Evidence Act (PACE) as enquiries continue, they said.
