A teenage girl was abducted and bundled into a car outside a shop.
Now detectives investigating the incident in Lymm, Cheshire, are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
The 16-year-old victim was forced into the back of a silver car by a young man at 7.45am on Tuesday (May 11).
The incident happened outside the Co-op convenience store on Cherry Lane
Police said the girl has been located, is safe and well and wasn't hurt.
A 17-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of kidnapping and has since been released on conditional bail.
Detective Constable Sophie Davies, of Warrington Local Policing Unit, said: “I want to reassure the public that this was a targeted incident and since it was reported to police we have been following a number of lines of enquiry to establish the circumstances around what exactly has taken place.
“As part of that we believe a number of people were present at the time it took place and may have seen what occurred and I am encouraging them to come forward and get in touch with us.
"In particular a man who is believed to have been walking a dog at the time and challenged the man while it was occurring. If this is you please do contact us.”
