Teenage girl, 15, raped in Milngavie street

An investigation has been launched after a 15-year-old girl was raped in Dunbartonshire on Saturday night.

Officers from Police Scotland are probing the incident that took place on Craigdhu Road in Milngavie , East Dunbartonshire at around 10pm.

Cops are now following a positive line of inquiry into the serious sexual assault of the girl.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: "We received a report of a serious sexual assault of a 15-year-old girl that happened on Craigdhu Road, Milngavie, around 10pm on Saturday, November 30 2019.

"We are following a positive line of inquiry."
