Teenage gang rammy leaves man in hospital with serious injuries after ‘disturbance’ in Scots car park

A man has been treated in hospital for a serious injury after being hurt during a large-scale disturbance in Crieff.

A group of individuals, made up mainly of teenage boys, were fighting in a car park on Leadenflower Court at around 10.20pm on Friday night.

A 36-year-old was hurt during the incident and taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee to receive treatment before being released.

A police investigation to trace the people involved has been launched with investigators keen to speak to members of the public who witnessed the event unfolding.

Detective Constable Nathan Shields of Perth CID said: “Enquiries are ongoing and we are working to establish the circumstances leading up to this incident.

“We believe there were numerous cars and pedestrians who may have been in the area and passed by as the events unfolded and we are keen to talk to anyone who might have seen anything.

“Anyone with information should contact police on 101 quoting incident number 4005 of 2 July, or alternatively contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where information can be given anonymously.”
