Teenage Dublin gang use metal wire to brutally assault Brazilian man near Luas stop

A Garda hunt is currently underway to find members of a teen Dublin gang who were involved in a brutal assault on a Brazilian man who was attacked using a metal wire.

The young group approached the man near the Fatima Luas Stop on Sunday, knocking him off the scooter he was riding.

Speaking about the incident on RTE's Liveline on Monday, the man recalled the horror attack by the gang who fled the scene after the assault.

He told the programme that the metal wire was on the ground and the teens lifted it up and used it to make him crash his scooter.

Once he had been knocked clean off the vehicle, the gang then started to physically assault the helpless man before fleeing the scene.

Gardai say that an investigation into this attack has been launched but no arrests have been made yet.
