Teenage defender's message after signing for Nottingham Forest

Teenager Morgan Sadler has spoken of his delight at putting pen to paper on his first professional contract at Nottingham Forest.

The young defender joined the Reds earlier this week, signing a deal which will keep him at the club until 2022.

Sadler had previously been on the books of Bury and Wrexham, and will initially link up with Chris Cohen’s Under-23s squad.

After making the move to the City Ground, the Welsh youth international posted a message on social media, saying: “Happy to sign my first professional contract at @NFFC.”

The highly-rated 17-year-old’s arrival follows that of attacker Adrian Galliani earlier this month, while striker Julian Larsson joined on January transfer deadline day as Forest look to add promising talent to their ranks.

The club still remain hopeful of also bringing in Barcelona midfielder Marcus McGuane, who started out at Premier League giants Arsenal.

Sealing a deal for the 21-year-old has proved to be complicated, with McGuane having been on loan at Dutch side Telstar.

But it is hoped a switch will soon be finalised.
