Teenage dealer who hid heroin in a Kinder Egg shell kept peddling drugs after being collared by cops

A teenage dealer who hid heroin in a Kinder Egg shell kept peddling drugs after being collared by cops.

Philip Barlow, 19, was found with £400-worth of drugs on him by plain clothes officers - £350-worth of heroin, £30 of crack cocaine and a small quantity of cannabis.

Some was in his pocket, some in a plastic shell from a Kinder Egg.

He was arrested and questioned on January 3 following the incident on Leadworks Lane in Chester.

Barlow refused to cooperated and was released under investigation while officers examined the drugs and checked his mobile phone, Cheshire Live reports.

The brazen teenager decided to continue flogging drugs, despite being the subject of an investigation.

He was arrested again on July 29 after being spotted acting suspiciously on Western Way, Blacon.

Barlow was found with more than £500-worth of illegal drugs, including heroin worth £210 and cocaine worth £330.

He again refused to answer questions.

By that point, police had enough evidence to charge him.

Barlow, of Wordsworth Crescent, Chester, pleaded guilty to four counts of possession with intent to supply class A drugs..

He was jailed for three years and four months.

Following the sentencing hearing, PC Richard Connelley, of Chester Local Policing Unit, said: “Class A drugs have a hugely detrimental impact on our communities. They cause widespread misery and removing those involved in drug dealing from our city and the rest of Cheshire and cities is of paramount importance.

“I hope that the sentence handed to Barlow reaffirms the message that drug dealing in Chester and the wider Cheshire area will not be tolerated.

“I also hope that it deters others from getting involved in the supply of illegal drugs.”
