Teenage boy tragically killed and four injured in horror crash in Co Tyrone

A teenager has tragically died following a road traffic collision in the early hours of Monday morning.

The 17-year-old boy lost his life following the crash on the Clanabogan Road, Omagh, Co Tyrone.

The teenager was a passenger in a black Audi which was struck in a head on collision with a white Mercedes at around 8.25pm on Sunday July 21, Belfast Live reports.

Three other people, a male and two females, who were in the Audi were taken to hospital along with the female driver of the other vehicle. Their injuries are not thought to be life threatening at present.

Inspector Will Brown is appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash to contact police on 101, quoting reference 1815 21/07/19.

Police are advising motorists to seek an alternative route for their journey this morning as the road remains closed.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "The A32 Dromore/Clanabogan Road, Omagh is currently closed and there are diversions in place via the Old Clanabogan Road."
