Teenage boy taken to hospital after two cyclists involved in collision in Cardiff Bay

A teenage cyclist needed hospital treatment after crashing with another cyclist in Cardiff Bay.

Police in the city are now appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident that happened on what would have been a busy Saturday afternoon.

The 16-year-old was injured in the crash with an older man on a bicycle near the Norwegian Church Arts Centre.

Police believe the older man might have also collided with some pedestrians before leaving the scene.

He is described as a white, aged in his 40s, possibly with a South African accent and was riding a silver/grey mountain bike.

A spokeswoman for South Wales Police said: "Officers are appealing for this man or anyone who recognise him from the description to please make contact."

Witnesses to the collision, which happened at about 4pm on Saturday, June 20, are also requested to come forward.
