No arrests have been made.

Marsland Road, at the junction with Brooklands Road, was closed off in both directions after the crash.

There were long delays to traffic in the area, though the road has since been reopened.

In a statement, a GMP spokesperson said: "Shortly after 7.50am this morning (7 December) police were called to a report of a collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian on Marsland Road, Sale.

"Emergency services attended and the pedestrian - a male in his mid-teens - was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

"All roads are now open.

"Enquiries are ongoing and no arrests have been made."
