A teenage boy has been taken to hospital after being hit by a car.
Emergency services responded to reports of a collision involving a car and a pedestrian in St Helens Road, Leigh, at about 3pm today (Wednesday, August 18).
The pedestrian - a boy in his teens - was taken to hospital with injuries.
It is not yet clear how serious his injuries are.

The driver - a man in his twenties - was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
Police say he is assisting them with their enquiries.
No arrests have been made.
St Helens Road was closed near to the junction with Buck Street following the incident.
The road reopened shortly before 4pm.
