A teenage boy has been seriously hurt in an incident in south Manchester. Southlea Road in Withington has been cordoned off by police following the incident on Tuesday morning (November 22).
Neighbours reported he was stabbed. Police are yet to confirm the nature of the teenager's injuries.
The force said they were called at around 11.30am following reports of a 'serious assault'.

"Officers attended the scene, and a teenage boy has been taken to hospital with serious injuries," GMP said in a statement.
No arrests have been made.
A scene remains in place, 'with no disruptions to the wider area'.
"Enquiries are ongoing and we are keen to speak to anyone who knows anything about this incident," the statement added.
There were reports from the scene of people being visibly shocked, with some seen crying.
The full GMP statement read: "Just after 11.30am today (Tuesday 22 November) Greater Manchester Police were called to reports of a serious assault on Southlea Road, Manchester.
"Officers attended the scene, and a teenage boy has been taken to hospital with serious injuries.
"No arrests have been made at this time.
"A scene is currently still in place on Southlea Road, Manchester with no disruptions to the wider area.
"Enquiries are ongoing and we are keen to speak to anyone who knows anything about this incident."
