A teenage boy has been rushed to hospital with gunshot wounds after reports of a shooting outside a north-west London Tube station.
Metropolitan Police officers were called to the junction of Watling Avenue and Orange Hill Road, near Burnt Oak station, just before 3.30pm on Tuesday.
A boy, aged 17, was found with suspected gunshot injuries and treated on scene by paramedics from the London Ambulance Service.
A rescue helicopter was dispatched and the teenager was rushed to a major trauma centre as a priority.
His condition has since been assessed as not life-threatening.
Another boy, 17, was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and taken into custody at a north London police station.
Burnt Oak station was closed on Tuesday while a scene investigation was carried out but has since reopened.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We sent multiple resources to the scene, including ambulance crews, a paramedic in a fast response car, an advanced paramedic and an incident response officer. We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance.”
