Teenage boy rushed to hospital after being stabbed on Leeds street

A 16-year-old boy was taken to hospital after he was stabbed outside a house in Cross Green, Leeds.

Police were called to reports of an assault on Cavalier Approach shortly after 8.30pm on Monday, February 24 and officers were sent to the scene.

Paramedics were also rushed to the incident and the teenager was taken to hospital in an ambulance after being stabbed in the arm. He has since received treatment to his injuries, which are not thought to be life threatening.

Crime Scene Investigation teams remained on Cavalier Approach for five hours as they combed the area as part of their early enquiries and specialist officers left the scene at around 1.30am on Tuesday, February 25.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or who has any information that could assist the investigation is asked to contact Leeds District CID via 101 quoting crime reference 13200099155 or online via the force's online chat service.

Information can also be given anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
