Teenage boy rushed to hospital after being hit by car on busy Scots street

A teenage boy has been rushed to hospital after being hit by a car on a busy Scots road.

The 15-year-old was walking on Main Street in Milngavie at around 5.08pm on Friday November 5.

The incident occurred close to Lennox Park and what locals have referred to on social media as a 'bad junction'.

Police say he was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow for non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the car stopped at the scene and Police Scotland officers will now submit a crash report.

A spokesperson from the force said: "We were called at 4.37pm on Friday, 5 November to reports of a crash involving a car and a pedestrian on Main Road, Milngavie.

"A 15-year-old boy was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow.

"His injuries have been assessed as non-life-threatening.

"The driver of the car stopped at the scene. Officers will submit a crash report."
