Teenage boy left seriously injured in road after being 'deliberately' knocked off his moped

A teenage boy has been left seriously injured after being 'deliberately' knocked off his moped in Oldham.

Police said they were called to Propps Hall Drive in Failsworth around 5.15pm on Friday evening.

Officers found a teenage boy next to a moped.

He had suffered a serious leg injury.

Paramedics also attended and the boy, whose age has not been disclosed, was taken to hospital.

He remains there for treatment and is now in a stable condition, a Greater Manchester Police (GMP) spokesman said today.

"Initial enquiries suggest the boy was deliberately hit by another vehicle" they added.

A police cordon remained in place last night and a white-coloured moped could be seen lying inside the section of the road which had been taped off.
