Teenage boy knocked off bike and into path of another car by Land Rover

A teenage boy was left with a number of injuries after he was knocked from his bike by a Land Rover, causing him to fall into the path of another car.

Officers were called to reports of a collision on Asser Road, West Derby at around 2.30pm on March 28. It was reported that two cars were involved in the incident - where a black Land Rover was driven at the 15-year-old boy and knocked him off the bike he was riding into the path of another vehicle.

Officers searched the area and found the Land Rover at a house nearby. A short time later, a 34-year-old man from Liverpool was arrested on suspicion of Section 18 Assault. He was taken to police station in Merseyside and has been bailed.

CCTV, forensic and witness enquiries are ongoing and detectives from Merseyside Police are appealing to anyone with information to come forward.

Detective Inspector Ben Dyer “Although officers made a swift arrest just hours after the incident our enquiries are still ongoing to establish exactly what happened on Asser Road. If you witnessed the collision or were driving in the area and have any CCTV or dashcam footage of the incident please get in touch as soon as possible.”
