Teenage boy killed on back road near Dublin Airport after bike collided with bus

A teenage boy has been killed this evening on a back road near Dublin Airport after his bike collided with a bus.

Gardai are investigating at the scene of the fatal crash in the St Margaret's area of North Dublin.

The scene has been closed off with local diversions in place.

A Garda spokesperson told Dublin Live: "Gardaí are currently at the scene of a fatal road traffic collision in the St. Margaret's area, Co. Dublin which occurred this evening, Sunday 23rd August 2020.

"The collision which involved a bus and occurred at the junction of the R108 and R122. A male teenage youth received fatal injuries during the collision.

"The scene is currently preserved for forensic collision investigators. Local diversions are in place.

"Investigations are ongoing. Updates to follow."
