A crew of firefighters were called to the scene of the incident on July 11 at approximately 12:30pm after receiving reports of a young boy speared on a steel bar.

Firefighters, alongside medical experts, examined the scene of the terrifying ordeal before a specialist saw was wielded to cut through the bar and free the boy.

The incident occurred on a Cheshire farm, with the boy being taken to hospital via an air ambulance, reports Cheshire Live.

A spokesperson for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service stated: "Shortly after 12.30pm firefighters were informed of a teenage boy having fallen on to a steel bar at a farm on Church Road in Chester.

"On arrival the boy was impaled on the bar.
