A 17-year-old boy has been charged with the murder Rishmeet Singh in Southall.

Rishmeet, 16, was stabbed to death in a fight with a large group in Raleigh Road at 9pm on Wednesday, November 25.

The Met police were looking into reports of a stabbing following a fight involving a group of people. Rishmeet, who was from the local area, died at the scene a short time later.

The 17-year-old was arrested on suspicion of murder on Thursday.

He appeared for a two-minute hearing at Wimbledon magistrates court on Friday, speaking only to confirm his name, age, and address.

The teenager’s identity is protected by a reporting restriction, due to his age.

Magistrates remanded the boy back into youth detention and sent the murder case to the Old Bailey.

He is due to appear for a full bail hearing on Tuesday next week.

A 19-year-old man arrested last Tuesday has been bailed to a date in late December.
