A boy has been arrested in connection with the alleged sexual assault of a 16-year-old girl in Perth.
Police were called to Gowans Terrace in North Muirton at around 9.35pm on Friday.
A probe was launched after a teenage girl was reportedly attacked by another youth and suffered minor injuries during the incident.
Officers confirmed that a 16-year-old boy has now been arrested and is due to appear at Perth Sheriff Court today.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were called around 9.35pm on Friday to a report of a sexual assault in the Gowans Terrace area of Perth involving a 16-year-old girl.
“She sustained minor injuries but did not require medical treatment.
“A 16-year-old boy has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident and is due to appear at Perth Sheriff Court on Monday.”
