A teenager has been arrested after a puppy was attacked and killed by two dogs.
The five-month-old pet was seriously injured in the alleged incident in Portsoy this afternoon.
It later passed away leaving the dog owner 'traumatised'.
A 15-year-old male and a 28-year-old man have now been charged in connection.
The alleged incident took place at 12.50pm near to Target Road.
A report will be sent to the Youth Justice Management Team and the Procurator Fiscal.
Sergeant Graeme Cupples said: “This was a traumatic experience for the owner of the puppy who sadly died following the incident.
“I would ask all dog owners to ensure that their pets are kept on a strong lead and under control when out in public.”
