A teenage boy and girl have been arrested after a car was stolen in Moston last night.
Police said the theft was reported at around 6.40pm on Edale Avenue.
A short time later officers were made aware of a suspicious vehicle close by on Scarborough Street.
Witnesses reported a major police response with two dog units, four police patrol cars and the force helicopter seen searching the surrounding area.
The two teens were arrested on suspicion of robbery.

"A short time later, officers were made aware of a suspicious vehicle on Scarborough Street, Moston."
"Enquiries established the vehicle matched the description of the stolen car.
"Two teenagers – a boy and girl – have been arrested on suspicion of robbery and remain in custody for questioning.
"Enquiries are ongoing."
