Teen wounded in Canaryville shooting

A 16-year-old boy was wounded in a shooting Monday in Canaryville on the South Side.

He was walking about 2 p.m. in the 4700 block of South Union Avenue when a gray sedan pulled up and someone inside opened fire, Chicago police said.

The teen was struck in the buttocks and taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was listed in good condition, police said.

No arrests have been reported. Area Central detectives are investigating.
